Default Downtime expected for forums on Sunday

Hi all:

We're in the process of moving the entire site over to newer, faster servers, and the first step will be to move over our forums. I expect a bit of downtime tomorrow (Sunday), but it hopefully will only last about 30 minutes. The real problem might be DNS propagation for some people, though in this day and age that's a problem not commonly seen.

Just an FYI in case you come to the forums and are unable to connect. We will be back!

Rob

The deed has been done. If anyone notices anything a bit off, please let me know.

How are you posting here, then? A screenshot might be useful.

Of the people I've talked to so far, only half of them can see the proper IP address for the forums (ends in .144). I suspect things will settle by tomorrow.

I'm just kidding lmao Anyways, I didn't notice a thing from the switch which I assume is good. The IP I'm getting (using FlagFox) is 208.100.30.144 so looks like its all good over here.

Smartass :P

And yeah, all seemed to work out well. Will likely have some minor downtime again towards the end of the month for both the site and forums, and then after that, it should be smooth sailing.
