Why does it have to be so damned cartoony?!?

I don't understand why companies have to take a game and completely spin it around. NC Soft did it with Tabula Rasa, and now Valve with TF2. That looks -nothing- like what I want TF2 to be like. It's a rather serious game, not a cartoon adventure. Although, with so many games like Battlefield II and DoD out there, I guess they are trying something new.

But don't call it TF2.

I know it didnt show any gameplay but the TF2 trailer looked pretty promising. I might turn out to be an enjoyable game. Even though the graphics look like they were stolen from State of Emergency...
