Wii likes the Opera?

In regards to our news posting (http://techgage.com/archive.php?id=4882), it looks like Wii will be using the Opera browser. I am all for this, but I find it odd.

Nintendo always makes it will known that their systems are not out there to be an 'all-in-one' or do-all machine. They usually tout it as being a gamers game machine. The addition of web-surfing strikes me as odd.

Its about time they caught up.... would be nice to see the opera make a version of the DS.

p.s. my friends site (screwattack) has a vid up of the new metriod game for wii in a 4 part series... even im interested in wii now.

I have to agree. Although I am a Metroid fan, the gameplay videos did nothing for me. The new Mario looks amazingly fun though.
