Not to suggest that anyone here would run an illegal copy of Xp but if you know someone that is you may want to pass this link (http://www.hackinthebox.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=19960) on to them
Microsoft makes such excellent software nobody should be using an illegal copy...

The guy in that article claimed windows update install malware. One reason why I never use windows update, because you never know what M$ installs on your pc.

I read the article on how to uninstall it.
I have a simpler way myself. I run my Windows XP on a FAT32 partition. I can stick in a floppy disk, and boot to DOS. This allows me to delete anything I want from my computer, without having the undeletable-process problems that occur if you try to delete while Windows is running.

werty 316 you are right there. I'm surprised that they didn't do it sooner. That's a great solution discharge. Another great solution is not to update. If it ain't broke don't fix it. :D
