I think thats the ram i bought... I bought 4 gb of it and have all 4 sticks in. Im going to sell 2gb of it to a friend. Does a 4200 auto down clock when plugged into a 3200 slot?

That's DDR2 memory you linked to. Download CPU-Z and go to the SPD panel and it may tell you what memory is in your system. Or even easier, just take the modules out and give the model number.

But to answer your question, yes it will work at PC3200 speeds regardless of what 'stock' speed it has. You just may need to tweak with the timings in the BIOS, but usually you won't have to.
