Hey Guys and Gals,

Thought you might be able to help me, I am relatively new to the video card world. I am purchasing a new mobo that has the PCI-E and i presently have a AGP 8X GeeForce 6600GT so that just won't do. I wanted to go with the 7800GT but don't have the cash. I was wondering which card would be better the PCI-e version of the 6600GT or to push the 60 or so extra bucks for the 6800GS. I know that there are a lot of things to look at in buying a graphics card so any advice would be welcomed.
I am into gameing, FPS's mostly like Counter-Strike Source and Call of Duty 2. I just reall would like to know which would be the best investment.

Get the GS, there's not a considerable amount of cash separating the two and the 6800GS will handily spank the 6600GT.

Without a doubt, get the GS. It's GeForce, not GeeForce :P

I'll agree. Plus, when you get more money, SLI 6800GS is NASTY.

Go with the GS bro... perfect time to buy too!
... and you can still sell that 6600GT too, and recoup a little $$$, because the card is still that good!
