On the E8400 machine, I finally got the memory balanced in the system.
I had to change the multipier from 9 to 8 though.
The ram is 1150 mhz
It's a bit harder on the other machine ( Q9450 ) the ram is 800 mhz
Closest I could get it was 11/16

That's a weak overclock for that processor though, and in all honesty, you'd see a far larger performance increase with a CPU boost than a memory boost.
My best overclock was with 425MHz FSB (x 9), which put the CPU at just over 3.8GHz. I am unsure of the memory speed at the time, but I usually try to keep it as close to stock as possible. That's why the "Unlinked" feature comes in handy. You can normally run a stock-clocked memory, but very overclocked processor.

I didnt leave it there at that setting...just wanted to see if I could.
