The word "Awesome" is used to describe many things, but when it comes to displays, only a 30" LCD fits. Why? They offer a 2560x1600 resolution for superb gaming and workflow. Dell's 3007WFP-HC is also the least expensive model available on the market, but how does it perform?

You can see details of the new model here:

I have an original 3007WFP flanked by two 2007 in portrait mode. I found the 3007, which I bought within a month of it's availability, is a bit darker than the newer 2007s. Having said that, I love it, though I would dearly love more connectivity options, which the 3008 should bring.

I agree, the 3008WFP is definitely on my radar of things to be on the lookout for at CES in January, assuming it will be there. The lack of connectivity on the 3007WFP-HC didn't bother me personally, as I'd not use them, but I know a lot of people who do purchase a monitor to use for more than one purpose. Having only DVI and VGA on a display that costs well over $1,000 seems a little ridiculous.

Hopefully the 3008WFP has the picture quality to match the rest of it's specs.
