I don't know how many times I need to break my computer before I realize I need to start playing smart.

I had an LED fan, and wanted to see what color it was. So, with the computer on, I plugged it into an available Molex connector. Well.. my PC shut down instead. This is wierd, because I have done this before without a problem.

To make a long story short.. I ended up shorting out my motherboard, AND my two 200GB hard drives. Good thing I didn't lose anything important, data wise.

The moral of the story is..

Don't play with your molex connectors when your computer is on! And, don't hang around with me, or this stupidness may wear off ;)

If I wanted to say "Stupidity" I would have. That was part of the 'stupidness'.

The bad "enguish" was in recognition of the play on words and was meant to add to it in my own little way...

I understand the pain though, remember the story of my HD last summer?

PSU manufacturers should solve it by adding stabilizer.

I 100% agree with you man. Although, it *could* have been my motherboard, and nothing to do with my PSU.

Not really sure..

next time, make sure you ground yourself before you plug in the molex connector so that you'll get a nice jolt and save your computer from the jolt. :D
