Cuts aren't too deep $-wise, but are pretty big %-wise.

NCIX has the X2 6000+ for $194.00 Canadian, which is VERY nice for a 3.0GHz processor. Intel Core would still outperform it at the same frequency, but for those who value high memory bandwidth, then the AMD might be a good choice.
Just imagine how excited the community at large would have been if these price cuts happened last Summer. People may have forgotten about C2D, heh.

Hurry up and buy a 24" monitor. I could use another one in a few months...

Stock for stock speeds, the 6000+ can stay right with the E6600.

For the everyday user, or someone looking for a cheap upgrade, these new prices are incredible. The sad thing is, for almost anyone who has been following the performance charts over the last year or so, there is absolutely no reason to purchase an AMD chip over an Intel. Intel currently holds the bragging rights because they hold the performance crown. You simply can't pay for marketing like that (if you don't count billions in R&D.)
For anyone with an AM2 motherboard, and even the slightest desire to upgrade, these new prices are an absolute no brainer.
