Have you heard of AutoAssault yet? Do you want to be a beta tester?

NCSoft is looking for beta testers for their upcoming MMORPG, AutoAssault. This game allows players to create characters who specialize in vehicular assault, and use their heavily armored, tricked out combat vehicles as their only means of survival. Characters drive through the hostile post-apocalyptic environment for power, wealth, fame, and ultimately… to take over the world. Check out new screens, movies, music samples, concept art, and added features and then sign up to be a beta tester here (http://www.hypemakers.net/autoassault/go.php?v=3257)!

Of course, to learn more, you can check out our early dev interview here (http://www.techgage.com/review.php?id=627), and visit the official site here (http://www.autoassault.com/)!

Yeah, I had heard of it, but was not really interested in it.

I've heard the nightmares of the MMORPG's being highly addictive, and costing $$$ monthly... just does not sit with me!

I mean, if I pay $ to take a game home and install it on my machine, I should be able to play it.

Not "pay for it, install it, pay for it some more to find out if I ike it, then pay for it each month because I do like it..."

Call me old fashioned....

There are a bunch o' free MMOGs out there. You might consider downloading a client or two and seeing what's what in the online world of magic and mischief.

This is why I never started playing World of Warcraft or Ultima Online.

A friend of mine tried this game out though. It looked pretty cool. I don't know if my current computer is up to it though... It's a few years old now.

I setup a beta account for it at the beginning of the beta, thinking my son (11 years old ) would like to play it.
but the beta was so poorly set up that you usually wasted all the game time (2 4hour sessions a week) _ downloading the newest version and patches, and you couldn't download , play or practice any other time, so we dropped out after a few weeks.
Some nice graphics, and a lot of possible good gaming (maybe,.... didn't work consistantly when we left)
The keep sending "come back a test for us" emails so we might try again (spring break this week, so he'll have lots of time)
