I downloaded the beta 'GranParadiso', and haven't had any problems with it other then my old add-ons don't work. Has been stable on all pages so far.

What's new in it? Right now, I think it is pointless to use 3.0 unless you are a developer. I didn't even run 2.0 until the final version came out because I didn't want to go without my extensions.
Is there anything noticeably different?

I read up on 3 just recently. Still in development, yes, and from what I could tell, there's nothing strikingly different. Slightly confusing as to why Mozilla would be developing another so soon, though.

Well... you'd be surprised to know that 3.0 was in development even before the 2.0 beta. They plan ahead and start working on specific features -way- down the road. Before we see 3.0, there will likely be a 4.0 starting in development as well.
That's why 3.0 as it stands, is meant more for developers. But even now... it's so early. Things can change drastically even in a month in the development world.

I read before that Mozilla said FF2 was just an updated version of FF1 and that FF3 will be the "next-gen" FF.
