I agree. We seen this at CES last month and the CM rep there even admitted that it is not an easy cooler to install.

Overkill =/

CM HSF have never been easy to install and this one will be the king of that. Its supposely weights 874g with two fans installed :eek:

Currently on sale in Japan and it is call the Fujin over there but it finally hit the North America shores in March. Speculation has been going around that this cooler doesn't perform as good as it should based on its size.

This beast is a light weight when it comes to some though. This thing weighs 874g with two 120mm fans installed. By comparison the Thermaltake Tower 112 weighs 4 lbs.
It might be a good idea if manufacturers would go back to the way socket 423 heat sink brackets attached to the motherboard tray. It would definitely be more secure.

You can't get more secure than using the four holes to mount a cooler.

On another note I hit 300 posts yay me! :techgage:

But remember when circuit boards weren't wafer thin? Wasn't imagining the CPU cooler coming off, but more like a chunk of motherboard and the CPU cooler falling and taking out a SLI setup on their way down.

It wouldn't do that as long as you have all the motherboard screws in.
