The winner is ebolamonkey! Ebola has already been contacted and the stuff is en route.

Stay tuned for the next contest ;-)

Time for another contest... this time brought to you by NZXT (http://nzxt.com/). If you don't know who they are, you certainly don't read (http://techgage.com/article/nzxt_lexa) our site much (http://techgage.com/article/nzxt_apollo) ;)

The contest is extremely easy to enter... all you need to do is sign up for the forums and make a post in this thread, and a comment towards NZXT. Tis all... not make 50 posts, not 100. 1... in this thread. Of course, you are more than welcome to stick around as we would love to get the forums more active.

What can you win?

There are three prizes to be won, but they are all going to the same lucky person as part of a pack. The prizes include:

Apollo case in your choice of color: Link (http://www.nzxt.com/products/apollo/)
Precise PSU 550W: Link (http://www.nzxt.com/products/precise_550/)
Sentry 1 frontbay panel: Link (http://www.nzxt.com/products/sentry_1/)

Rules

Simply sign up and post in this thread anytime before Friday Sept 19 at midnight.
Contest is open to anyone in North America. Sorry, no overseas this time :(
Techgage staff cannot enter. They have my undying love... they are the real winners.

Tell NZXT what you think... what would you like to see from them? Or what would you like to see them improve? They are open for all comments and suggestions.

Good luck to all who enter :techgage:

Abandon all hope, thee who enter here, for I shall win;)

To NZXT
you might want to edit the description page for the PSU, the last line says
"Ext. ports: 2 x usb 2.0, mic, firewire 1394 and headphone jack "
(I never seen that on a PSU, but they come up with new stuff all the time. )

It would please me if I won the faceplate. I only wish this were a little earlier. I just built my mom a new PC from spare parts (p4/1.7, 512 RDRAM@800mhz, gforce3 AGP on a Intel D850GB board) and a new case. She really liked it and it all lit up red and was dragons everywhere, which she really loves. Adding that NZXT plate would have been just thing thing to send it over the top and make it that much cooler.

Oh well. Next time! Maybe I can put it in my new Ubuntu RAID server when I win. The temp readings would be helpful for all the hard drives I've added. :D

Is the door on the case transparent or slightly opaque? What about using Privacy Glass (http://www.switchlite.com/home.html) for the window (controllable with a remote and/or software)?

Oh man, someone mentioned Ubuntu!

:D

It's funny you mention your mom. I gave my mom my Socket A PC when I built the 939 back in the day, and she was the same way. "Ooh blue lights", haha.

I'm using Ubuntu cause it's easy and I don't need more complicated crap in my life. I deal with enough cow-orkers in a day. :(

Awesome giveaway. Maybe NZXT should consider some liquid cooling options with some of their high end cases, or just stand alone. When air cooling just isnt enough

Weee, I didn't even know this site, but my ears perked up at the mention of NZXT. :D

I own one NZXT case and it is nice! It's a Nemesis, awesome orange color.

There's a couple of things I would improve; the front door design prevents the use of any sort of fan controller or things with larger buttons on it - they might have fixed that on the Apollo, I have not read the reviews yet.

Also, I would make sure the fan filters are easy to clean; it's no so bad on the Nemesis, the side fan has a big plastic N over it and you can sortof squeeze a rag under it to pick up the dust, but it's a bit sharp so it's not a fun task. And the front filter, forget it. There's probably a giant fur ball stuck in the Nemesis' "mouth" that I can't even see. :)

Other than that... Well, the Nemesis is a nice pre-mod, aesthetically the only complaint I have is that the inside floor of the case is the standard gray sheet metal color. It's impossible to match the outside color (orange!) and with the window, it's something you see all the time. Not very pretty. Maybe a simple plastic cache or painting the inside would make it perfect.

Just my 2 cents :)

That is an awesome prize! Definitely would like to win that.

As far as improving NXT...I don't know, maybe even better cooling options.

NZXT has always intrigued me. Steel cases are heavier, would like to see you guys work on aluminium cases, removable motherboard trays. The robotic influences of your cases have always been cool! Keep those going, and progressing... I cannot wait to see where you guys take those designs.

Would also like to see you guys getting into case lighting (with your cylon "scrolling" eye) as well as I think some animated LED fans that you guys would be ideal at producing.

That is one sick ass case. Like the look of it. Two 120s and metal construction...sharp.

I have to say that the blue looks the coolest but the red makes the black accents pop. Very cool.

Please enter me into this contest.

NZXT has made many sleek cases in the past, my only complaint is the lack of good air cooling fans on some cases.

Nice clean looks! I definatly love the stainless steel look of the PSU. The case really isnt my style but im sure if i won it I could unload it on someone.

I really wouldnt mind having that sentry 1 front panel 0.o

Yeah the Sentry 1 is pretty sweet and as far as I know the PSU is by the same OEM that did the OCZ Mod/Powerstream series. Don't hold me to that but I think it is at least.

The case is one you'll either love or hate though, personally I think it's killer but I'm warped.

Dont get me worng i like the look of a flush designed face... But a closing flap just doesnt really do it for me. I change CDs ALOT! Form > function, everytime.

I like your case designs. I also like Mac's simple elegance so maybe if you could design a case with their philosophy, it would be great.

I've always liked slot load style cd drives. A friend of mine had one and it was just sweet. I wish that style was implemented more. That's no suggestion to the company, I know. It's just something I'd like to see more of.

NXZT, is a reputable company with many great products. Most noteable is their cases. I like some of the futuristic looks they produce; it's nice to see the change they offer. If they keep offering products that don't look so "mainstream" their success and popularity will continue to grow.

With all the talk of cases going on, let it be noted that is one very slick-looking PSU. :)

Yet another reason I should have registered a long time ago. Good job getting the contest prizes for the forum users....I'm sure I'll enjoy them.... :D

Booo! The case looks funny...

I like the classic series better.

Trinity is okay.
But I got 5 Harddrives and I have to run 2 or 3 of them hot in the drive bay area...

Zero takes care of this problem but its too big.

:) It would be very fun if they can make a case design out of the power supplies. Like the Precise 6/550 as a big case with a BIG side fan. That would be something. Or something to vacuum your room...

Count me in. Haven't been around much, work has taken all of my free time lately.........:(

Actually, the guts of the Apollo are the same as the iStar S9 case I have. If anyone is worried about putting 4 HDD's in there, don't worry. The cooling should be equal to the iStar- very good.

To NZXT: Keep up the good work with expanding the horizons of your products. I am very happy to see a company that is integrating what used to be 'extra cost options, ie: side window' into their products.

I like the look of the front of the case. I would like to see it under my desk. :) I'm not sure about the window though. A full panel window with the holes cut out for the fan instead of it looking like two separate pieces. I like the look of the PSU. The only improvement there would be efficiancy which I'm sure they're always working on. And that LCD panel would sure look good in my case. ;)

I like this case, but opted for the NZXT Zero instead. Having it built by CyberPower. I've built about 5 of my own, but even pricing at out at NewEgg, Cyberpower was a better deal, especially with "3 year" warranty. Thanks for chance to win the Apollo and other goodies. That PS is a nice one!

I like the style of their cases, but speaking for the large-handed PC builders out here, I'd like to see more done in the full tower size.
Great contest, BTW.

great contest.

i really like the powersuppy.

my question to nzxt, is there some ugly reason you do not show any pics of the cables/backside of the psu on your website?

Does anyone find it ironic that the person that won was the one that dislikes the case? O.o
